Una Bomba

This is punk house. House music by ex-punks too much in love with music to follow the rules.Ajukaja: music and instruments
Hmelnitski: korg and guitars
Tony de Torpedo: lyrics and voice

Past
No relation to the UK act Unabombers, these men have been known as Una Bomba since 95, when Röövel Ööbik realised they have gotten too dancey for their name. By then they had to be the world’s best known Eastern Bloc indie-rockers – the only ones, at least, to be
personally invited by John Peel to record a session for his BBC Radio 1 show (93). Their Estonian-only debut “Honeycombat” (97) still sounded fresh enough 3 years later to be picked up and re-released globally by the Canadian indie High Park Records.

Aerosol
The new album Aerosol is as intense as public television. No commercial breaks to relax – take a break while it’s playing, and the chances are, you won’t recognize it when you come back. Around the sophisticated, syncopated house grooves of “Perfect Pitch” and Philly-punk madness that is “Risquo”, there is enough room for sweet and jazzy anaesthetics, acid-laced electropop, horny Bollywood funk and alarming robo-ska.
